American Charter Academy
Enrollment Procedures
The enrollment period for any school year begins the spring before school starts in August. In this section you will find information about American Charter’s enrollment process.
Current Students Returning
If you currently have students attending American Charter Academy, fill out the 'Intent to Return Form' and return it to the office prior to the posted deadline date. Once a student's form has been checked for attendance, homework, motivation, and course completion, parents will be notified and the student's spot will be guaranteed for the following year.
Additionally, parents must log into ParentVUE on the district's website, matsuk12.us, and register their student with the Mat-Su Borough School District and with American Charter Academy as your school site once the district is open for enrollment.
New to American Charter Academy Students
If your student is not currently enrolled in American Charter Academy, but you are interested in enrolling them for the upcoming school year, the prospective students and families need to fill out AMC's application form. When the application form has been submitted to AMC, the application process begins. The process includes attending the AMC Informational Night, followed by a conference. If there are more students than there are spots available in any given segment, there will be a lottery held.
Once you have filled out the enrollment application, either fax it, email it, or bring it in to AMC. If you do not receive a call from the school, call 352-0150 for an appointment to complete the next step of the application process.
